The truth behind the 'British version of Islam'
By Yvonne Ridley on 23/04/2007 11:10

A couple of years ago I was ridiculed and verbally attacked when I suggested that the British Government was trying to control Muslims to such an extent they wanted a uniform sermon in masjids on Fridays ... vetted and approved in advance.

I was accused of causing mischief and the main accusers came from a bunch of self important, male community leaders who thought they had access and influence with Number 10 because they occasionally had tea with Tony. Those brutal Iranians
By Yvonne Ridley on 02/04/2007 10:26

Life at the Met
By Yvonne Ridley on 31/01/2007 13:56
Just the other day Sir Ian Blair was said to be furious when a young, female Muslim recruit refused to shake hands with the Met chief on religious grounds. Why the outrage? If he'd bothered to read the cultural diversity handbook issued to his junior officers and grassroots police, he would have known it was improper for a stranger to go around shaking Muslim women's hands.

Remembering the victims on Holocaust Memorial Day
By Yvonne Ridley on 22/01/2007 11:43
Holocaust Memorial Day is approaching very soon. It gives Jewish people across the globe an opportunity to reflect on the horrors and injustices of the past and remember their own who died in the most vile and appalling way at the hands of the German Nazis.
