James Barrett is a recent graduate from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg with an MA in politics. He helped to establish a student branch of the Palestinian Solidarity Committee (PSC) and has worked with both the PSC and the Anti-War Coalition of South Africa.

In the course of 2001 and 2002 grassroots activists and organisations from across the world built a movement that was to take on enormous global resonance.

James Barrett is a recent graduate from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg with an MA in politics. He helped to establish a student branch of the Palestinian Solidarity Committee (PSC) and has worked with both the PSC and the Anti-War Coalition of South Africa.

James has contributed to the projects and campaigns of the Palestinian Stop The Wall movement for 2 years. He has written on the activities of the World Bank in Palestine and research interests include the Palestinian economy, development and the new social movements of South Africa. Other interests include music, film and photography and James is currently involved in a number of short film projects.
